ASC Nurse (Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse)

Job Description

As an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Nurse at CWPC, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures. You will be responsible for preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and managing postoperative recovery. This role demands strong clinical skills, a thorough understanding of surgical protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for surgery by conducting preoperative assessments, verifying medical histories, and ensuring patient readiness.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during and after surgery, intervening as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Manage the recovery room, closely observing patients as they wake from anesthesia and providing appropriate care for their safe discharge.
  • Ensure compliance with all surgical protocols, infection control standards, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Medical License
  • Board Certification
  • Immunization and Health Requirements:
    • Proof of immunizations (e.g., Hepatitis B, flu, COVID-19).
    • TB test or other relevant health screenings.
  • CPR/BLS/ACLS Certification:
    • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
